EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The 2026 New York K-Tourism Roadshow, “Your Korea Starts Here,” was held August 1–2 at American Dream in New Jersey, bringing Korean tourism, food, beauty, entertainment and lifestyle together for a two-day celebration of K-culture.
Organized by Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), the event offered visitors an interactive way to discover Korea beyond what they may already know through K-Pop and Korean entertainment.
The timing made the weekend particularly significant.
On the same two days, BTS concerts were held at nearby MetLife Stadium, drawing large numbers of fans to the East Rutherford area. With American Dream located directly next to the stadium, many K-Pop fans visiting the area also had an opportunity to experience a broader side of Korean culture.

One of the most popular interactive elements of the roadshow was a charm-collecting mission that encouraged visitors to explore participating booths throughout the event.
Guests received a bracelet and traveled from booth to booth, collecting a different charm at each stop.
The activity turned what could have been a traditional exhibition into a more engaging experience. Instead of simply walking past displays, visitors had a reason to explore the entire event while discovering different aspects of Korea along the way.
Each stop introduced something different — from Korean travel and aviation to food, beauty and entertainment.
The charms were not the only attraction.
Participating organizations and brands also prepared a variety of giveaways reflecting the theme and identity of their individual booths. Visitors could collect charms, receive different gifts and learn something new at each stop.
By the end of the experience, a bracelet filled with different charms became more than just a promotional item. It served as a personal souvenir representing the many sides of Korea visitors had encountered throughout the day.

The roadshow brought together Korean organizations and companies representing a wide range of industries.
Participating organizations included the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), and Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT).
Participating companies and brands included Korean Air / Delta Air Lines, Air Premia, Seoul Trading, H Mart, bb.q Chicken, AMOREPACIFIC, and Photoism, highlighting different areas of Korean tourism, aviation, food, retail, beauty and lifestyle.
Having these different sectors represented in one place allowed visitors to see Korean culture as more than a collection of individual trends.
K-Food, K-Beauty, Korean content and tourism were presented as interconnected parts of a larger K-culture experience.

The location of the roadshow added another dimension to the event.
American Dream is located next to MetLife Stadium, where BTS performed during the same August 1–2 weekend.
That proximity created a natural connection between one of Korea’s most globally recognized cultural exports — K-Pop — and other aspects of Korea that international fans are increasingly interested in exploring.
For many fans around the world, music is often the first introduction to Korea.
But the journey rarely stops there.
Interest in K-Pop can lead to trying Korean food, discovering Korean beauty products, watching Korean content, learning more about Korean culture and eventually wanting to travel to Korea.
The roadshow brought many of those experiences together in one location.
Beyond the exhibition booths, visitors could enjoy traditional Korean music and dance, K-Pop performances, Random Play Dance sessions, K-Pop quizzes, dance challenges, cultural activities and interactive photo experiences.
KTO representatives also provided travel information, destination recommendations and seasonal inspiration for visitors considering a future trip to Korea.
Those who registered on-site were eligible to enter a drawing for round-trip airfare between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN), along with other promotional giveaways offered throughout the event.
The message was clear: visitors could experience a taste of Korea in New Jersey — and perhaps make Korea their next destination.
